Techrete awarded Kingscross T6

Techrete has been awarded the design, manufacture, and supply of the architectural precast cladding to the 26 storey T6 block at Kingscross by Mansell Construction Services Ltd. The student accommodation for Urbanest UK Ltd will be clad in over 1000 no. precast panels covering approximately 8,000 sqm.

The recon panels at low level are in a dark grey acid etch with the upper levels above Level 02 in a Portland lookalike with a grit blast finish in both medium and light. The panels will be sealed using a Protect Guard sealer coat.

Installation of the panels will commence in April while the RC frame is still under construction using a telescopic crawler crane. A mono rail will also be used for installation of panels up to Level 10. Work on site is anticipated to take 34 weeks.
